Sugar Coated

Sugar coated words; pleasing like candy
Appetizingly sweet to anyone’s fancy
Appealing to each and all of my sinces,
I let down all guards and dropped my fences.
It filled all the hunger; and quenched each  desire
But these spoken words started burning like fire
How was I drawn by such delicious allure?
Digesting this poison; from which is no cure?
